Life Promotions has found that community outreaches held in a public venue provide the most inviting, engaging and effective opportunities for young people to know Jesus. With two out of three Christians coming to faith before the age of 18, it stresses the urgency of reaching young people with the gospel.

How does it work?
By partnering with concerned parents, teachers and community leaders, Life Promotions is able to provide public school assemblies that impact young people with important truths and principles. Students are given the opportunity to return to the school that same evening for a church sponsored outreach. When a speaker is highly engaging and connects on a heart level, students can’t wait to hear more and often beg their parents to return for a rally where they can hear, many for the first time, a clear, personal presentation of the gospel. Since the outreach is open to the public, parents and children often attend together, impacting entire families.

The response to these outreaches has been incredible, with thousands responding to God's love each year. When a Christian musician or entertainer is added to open the program, the evening turnout nearly triples. Many evening outreaches have seen over half of the students come out for the artist's full performance and an additional message from the speaker. Add free pizza and soda to the night, and the outreach becomes a "big event" that young people don't want to miss!

How can I make a difference?
No matter if you’re a parent, student, youth pastor or simply someone who is concerned about the hearts and minds of youth; you can impact your school and community.

Katie is just one example of a student who heard Bob speak at a festival and wanted friends and peers to hear his message, so she got her youth group involved and approached her school principal. Her school hadn’t had an assembly program for 10 years because of a bad experience, but she didn’t give up and convinced the principal to allow Bob’s school program. Bob, along with AJ the Animated Illusionist, was able to address 850 youth in Katie’s school… and the principal was thrilled with the results. Her church sponsored an outreach back in the school where hundreds returned that same evening to hear about the love of God, resulting in 50 people receiving the gospel for the first time.

When students are involved in the process they take ownership and the impact increases. Like Katie, your experience as the event coordinator will require dedication throughout the process, but you can be assured the results will be worth the effort.
